Grand Getaway Reviews

We recently had the opportunity to spend time at this amazing house. There is so many positives to this place. Located just a short walk to several great restaurants, the local grocery store, coffee shop, gift shop and gas station, you won't need to go far for any items you may have forgotten. There is also a beautiful park that is just across the bridge that has music in the park every Sunday. Even if you don't want to make the short walk to the park you can hear the music while sitting on the deck. The house is simply beautiful. The amazing island in the kitchen allows for everyone to gather for meals or drinks. The beds were very comfortable and the house is incredibly clean. The pool/ping pong table downstairs kept the kids busy in the evenings for hours. It was great for them to have their own area to hang out. We had the opportunity to take out the wake boards and kayaks that are provided. The kids even pulled out the fishing poles that are hanging in the garage. No fish were caught but they had fun trying. In the evenings we enjoyed sitting by the campfire that overlooks the lake. Sitting on the deck looking at the lake in the mornings with a cup of coffee is so relaxing. Honestly, there aren't enough words to describe how amazing this place it.

The Grand Getaway exceeded our expectations. The home is a great location in town and on the water. The layout is ideal for large families and multiple families. The house was equipped with everything we needed and more. Great view of the lake.

Perfect location on chain of lakes, great boating, walking distance from super market & restaurants & park. Right on miles of wonderful bike trails, tennis courts nearby. House was spectacular. All the latest and greatest. Two double queen bunks in loft plus bath & big TV for the grand kids private space. House came with everything, beautifully furnished, plus fishing gear, bicycles, life jackets, floating raft, bean bag toss, pool & ping pong, grills, fire pit with wood that burned, WiFi, and TV's that all worked without hassle. Rented a pontoon and a ski boat locally for the week. Easy and the equipment worked out great. Finally, the coup de grace, great weather all week.

Well built and everything you could want available. It doesn’t get much better than that.

My family and I stayed at Grand Getaway over Memorial Day Weekend and used this vacation to celebrate a special occasion. First of all I can't tell you how awesome it was to drive up from Milwaukee with a car load and to be able to back into the garage and unload everything, especially the food and drinks. You back into the garage and you basically have a straight shot into the kitchen, which be the way the double refrigerators are absolutely awesome. After unloading you start to look around at this place and it is absolutely awesome. As described everything from the beds to the furniture is basically brand new. This place is located right in town with bars and restaurants within walking distance but when you are on the deck or at the dock you would never know, it is very private with a neighbor that you can't see on one side and woods on the other. We were lucky enough to have some sunshine and did some boating. You dock your boat maybe 1/2 mile away at a brand new boat dock. This place was obviously set up for large gatherings. My wife was worried because she forgot the crock pot. No worries, there is (5) of them there. The kids took over the lower level area which is totally set up with pool table, ping pong, tv's, etc. we basically never saw them. We don't rent a lot of places like this very often but this place was the best we have ever rented. We went biking and used the bikes that are there, they are older bikes but higher end bikes and worked great, the trails go on forever and you get on the trail right out the front door. Sunday there was music and a little festival or something just down the road. How awesome was it that we built a fire at our place and listened to the music, if you wanted to see what was going on you just had to walk out on the dock and you could see. One last note, we didn't fish but there was no less than 10 fishing poles mounted on the wall in the garage and even a couple of tackle boxes.
